Off to do the grocery shopping

Today for financial literacy we set up mini businesses. The businesses had to learn about price lists, a float, working out the correct change and much more was involved. The longer the lines got the more money they would earn, the more produce would be sold and the more stressed the business owners got as they wanted to be able to cater the needs of their customers and keep them happy.
It was an enjoyable maths session and the skills we learnt we are able to carry with us for everyday situations.

Financial Literacy

Today we had visitors from the Cooperative Bank come and teach us about financial literacy and how money and banks work. We learnt about lots of financial terms e.g. Withdraw, loan, deposit, interest.
We were fortunate to receive a pen, drink bottle and a money bank from the lovely team from Cooperative Bank!

Look what we produced

The Carrot Cutters garden group made sandwiches for the class as their lettuce was looking green and crisp and ready to eat!

Halloween

It is spooooooky in Room 3 today. It's grey and stormy outside, the spiders have come out and Courtney and her mum made us some scrummy cupcakes.

A weak moment...

Room 3,

I get emotional when I think about the fact that this is our last term together.
You are all such amazing, clever, young individuals which I enjoy spending everyday with!
I am so proud of each and everyone of you and your outstanding growth and achievements this year.
